All participant plans with an end date after 1 July 2017 have now been indexed in line with the new 2017-18 price guide. As in previous years, new service bookings have been automatically created to adjust plan values in myplace to match the new price caps. Any existing service bookings have been ended to align with the start date of the new service booking.
This adjustment does not change the current service agreements that you have with your participants, however you will see some changes in the service booking details. More information can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Provider Toolkit.
If you wish to renegotiate or enter into a new service agreement, this change means your participants now have the capacity to agree to pay amounts up to the new price caps. Before commencing any service agreement discussions with participants please refer to the Terms of Business for Registered Providers (PDF) (DOC) to ensure that you are complying with NDIA requirements.
Indexation will not be applied to periodic transport payment and In Kind items or if a service booking requires a quote and it has been received and approved.
Providers who have made a claim for services rendered since July 1 at the previous rate will be able to claim the difference in payment from participants. The NDIA will shortly release details about how providers can do this.
If you have questions you can contact the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
